Originating from Greece, the one-man Icelandic-based powerhouse known as Wargrinder belt out their second full length album entitled In Suicidal Triumph: an offering of nine punishing tracks of hard-hitting black/death that never lets up.

Right from the word go, your senses are ensnared in an array of aural chaos as merciless drumming takes the forefront, blasting away at inhuman speeds that will make your jaw drop. Yes, this guy can beat the shit out his drumkit. Not only does Terry show remarkable skill as a drummer, but he also shreds the guitar as if he’s composing the soundtrack to apocalypse. Well, that’s pretty much what this is: pure apocalyptic mayhem. So buckle up, boys and girls.

In Suicidal Triumph shows vast progression compared to the debut album (“The Seal of Genocide”), which was more rhythmically orientated and accessible. In contrast, the sophomore is much more relentless and chaotic. I can honestly say that, after listening to this album in its entirety, I am left scratching my head in awe and thinking, “how the fuck can one man, just ONE MAN, manage to create an album so fucking ferocious all on his own?!” — well, whatever the answer, Wargrinder don’t just talk the talk, but walk the walk. This is some decent, fast-paced black/death that should satisfy maniacs into bands like Angerlcorpse, Arkhon Infaustus, early Hate Eternal and the like. What more can I say? In Suicidal Triumph delivers.
