Revel in Flesh – ‘Emissary of all Plaques’

Country:

Label: Cyclone Empire

Review by Mike Abominator

REVEL IN FLESH returns to destroy with their 4th full length album “Emissary of all Plagues”. I can’t believe that they are on album #4 already! WOW! They have perfected their “Swedish” Dods Metal (by way of Germany). A full on assault of crushing riffs and thunderous arrangements, this album contains some murderous stuff to kill by. Yet there is also plenty of harmonious notes and melodic passages that break up the darkness a little. Sure, this style has been …

Avenger of Blood – ‘On Slaying Grounds’

Country:

Label: Times End Records

Review by Mike Abominator

The thrash resurgence of the early to mid 2000s brought back an era from the 1980s that had the modern kids moshing and head banging like it was a Kreator show from 1987. So, after following their progress for some time, I finally decided to conduct an interview with the cult myself.
Hails! Ordinarily, I would ask you some questions regarding the formation of …

Nobody expected that, a group from the Southwestern Pacific Island known as New Zealand, becoming one of the most influential hordes in the current wave of black/death/doom… Forging a sound that would later be defined based on their geographical bearings, Vassafor has also gained international status. The following interview was conducted between JH and the main-man Himself, VK.
